Hello all thought I would tell you something GOOD the local news station (KWOC channel 6) here in Davenport Iowa did Thursday and Friday they raised almost a 1/4 of a million dollars for Red Cross towards the relief for the victums of hurricane Katrina. They showed people driving up and donating $ one school class 6th grade had a bake sale and raised over $800.00 , workers at jobs raised $ and the companies they work for matched them and two companies (Royal Neighbors, & Genises Hopsitals) donated 10 times the workers raised this town I live in Davenport Iowa and the rest of the Quad-Cities Bettendorf Iowa,Rock Island and Moline IL. plus all the small communities just makes me so proud of what they did to help people in need. Hope to see you all at DavCon06. "proud" Terry BTW our bank account was cleaned out last week by someone online that got our debit card # and password took over $500.00 from us but we will get back at lest $213.00 so far they have found and I still turned in all my change I had saved for months and donated $55.76 my wife Chris and I decided to not eat out Thursday night like we always do we thought they needed it more than we did and we both got paid friday anyway so we made it thur the week thanks to our son and daughter which they both donated $50.00 each I am so proud of them too Terry

Terry, For those of us who are regulars at DavCon, Davenport has become a very special place. Lots of new friendships were born there...and it's a place that feels like "home." It's really amazing....places that are so far away, have given so much. I hope you and your wife recover most of the money you lost. That's a shame! Very kind of you to give, under the circumstances. I will see you in January.... Love ya, sweetie Jean

Unrelated to Katrina, but my sister's brother-in-law is a DJ at a local radio station in Davenport. From what my sister told me, he would be willing to mention that "Clusterheads Are Coming" when the time comes. If anyone would be willing to do an on air interview, I may be able to set it up. IM me if you're interested. We went through our closets and took out all the clothes we could spare. It totaled 12 bags in all. I'm heading out in a few to drop them off to send south. Our company donated $1 mil to the relief fund and is also matching 1 for 1 contributions so I'm planning on signing up on Tuesday. That's a good thing you and Chris did Terry. It's looking like people are going to get the aid they are needing. It's nice to hear good news coming out of all this.
