OK so I know this probably sounds like some kind of doomsday warning, but I think this is something that everyone needs to be aware of, if they haven't already been thinking about it....

It really was the first thought popping into my head as I was watching all that went on....at least as far as the near future was concerned.  I've always been very interested in studying viruses, bacteria, and other sudden health trends that raise major concerns.  With the stagnant water, heat, unsanitary conditions, garbage, decomposition, and pollution - the risk for infection is huge.

Anyone who will be traveling and working in the area - or anyone already there - please please be careful and mind your own health.  These types of problems usually don't pop up right away in the midst of such disasters, but the risk for a major public health threat from this is pretty high.

Just wanted to put the info out there!

Hugs to all,

Carrie,

our news broadcasts here have been talking about the same thing. I do hope it could be avoided as much as possible if entirely isn't an option...
