EDNA is ok ....

After calling non stop for days....I finally got hold of Edna.
She, Danny and the kids are fine. They have very minor damage, but no flooding.
Power and phones have been on for about 30 minutes.
She has no computer....but will let me know if there's anything they need.
Still no info on SteveG..  Edna has not been able to reach him either.
My truck was packed, and I was ready to make the trip to Edna's. I decided to call one more time...and when her daughter answered, I was about in tears!
Thanks to all for your thoughts and prayers. Edna is very special to me, and I knew I couldn't rest till I knew she was ok.

Great news thank you so much for getting hold of her.I really didn't want you going down there and getting into that mess.Prayers still going out to Steve,his family and all those affected by Katrina.
a side note my sister is getting hold of the red cross to see if she and a friend can help.she's volunteered with their emergency responce up here in NY.she was going to move to acola florida this week with my niece.After seeing all the help needed she's gonna put that off.

OH Thank God! Jackie called me and I was so happy to hear she was ok. I don't know who I was worried about the Most. Edna or Jean.
I love you both! Edna when you get up and running I want to share a email or two with you, I got from some people with your same Last name that was in the storm.

Looter's have hit the streets of Raceland.
A group of people were bussed in from N.O. sometime today to a shelter in Raceland.
Edna and family are a bit edgy....seems as though these a$$holes are running up and down the streets.
Police force had their hands full the last few days...trying to patrol and make sure peoples homes were safe. Some folks in town left before the hurricane hit, so there were several vacated homes.
Today, the Police in Raceland are busy with these weirdos that are running thru town scaring all the residents. Edna said most of her neighbors are armed and without a doubt not afraid to shoot this scum.
Edna had a great idea...."turn off the cameras...for about an hour....shoot these bastards...and leave 'em lay."
Anyway, they have plenty of family at the house with them, and will make sure someone is there at all times, in hopes the looters will move on.
This is a shame....as if folks haven't had a bad enough time already.

Stand UP to those looters! If they were looking for some food to survive, noone would give it a second thought, but ..sheesh....I watched this in the Los Angeles riots......opportunists of the worst ilk.......they deserve to be shackled and run through town!
Steve and Family..we cant wait to hear from you as well.

Port Gibson is just south of Vicksburg, Mississippi.That would be southwest of Jackson, close to the Louisiana State line.
Now that I know Edna and family are ok, I am gonna put my resources to work on finding Steve & Dianne.
Steve was one of the first CH'ers I met. December 2003, I met Steve, Tracey, Edna, Danny & BarbD, in New Orleans, down in the quarter.
Y'all keep the prayers goin'...wherever Stevegeebe is, he knows we're here and thinking of him.

Well I got that wrong! I woke up at 3am this morning absolutely convinced that Edna had just posted, so much so I almost came downstairs to check and as it turns out jean you posted this about five minutes after I went to bed! 
So much for me being a witch huh?! (Actually I don't think that was the word used but it was close!)
Edna I'm so glad you and your family are safe. If you see anyone who looks threatening to you and yours just shoot them. You haven't survived all of that just to let some lousy scumbag make your life a misery now.
Jean thank you so much for letting us all know, I feel light headed I feel so relieved, lets hope we hear from Steve ASAP huh?

Thanks for letting us know about Edna -- now put your snoop cap on and FIND Steve and Diane....  I think they're our only MIAs right now. Didn't he have that place up in the woods outside New Orleans? Hopefully they're there and doing fine. At least that's the thought I'm holding on to.
