Gas is $3.59 in the next town over. But, I know there are others paying far more than I am. Still sucks though.

Sumbody is gettin really rich with all this.......would or could this ever be a part of terrorism ? Seems we are terrorized and traumatized pretty good over what the price will end up aren't we. Sheesh !! I don't hardly even go anywhere now cuz of it dureing the week.......with two trucks it is costing us a fortune. And now it is even gettin expensive to fill the bikes tanks. Horse and buggy thoughts Pam

No shit. My gas station went up 10 cents from the time i passed it in the morning to the time i passed it in the evening. It's official. Gas is up 100% in 5 years. 3 years ago, i traded in my SUV for a small car when gas hit 1.30. Now, its 2.60. Damn BMonee

Thank God I only have a 3 mile commute to work and drive a 99 Camry that gets great mileage. I've got a half a tank right now, but will head for Sam's Club, or Skeets to top it off before it goes higher. Hubby, Tarey, who drives a Ford Explorer had better do the same. And, Ghostie - why not try some baked beans! Sandy

| Too late, my friend. Too late. I'm still pissed that milk is over $4.00/gal! Am I the only one bitching about that?

| My car pings like crazy when I put milk in the tank. No noticable difference between Whole and skim.

You might save a buck or two if you buy before the next increase. But in the medium to long run, gas prices are going up. The only real way to save is to drive less, or drive a more efficient car. This public service message was brought to you by the 'No Free Lunch Gaggle of Economists.'

| With the gas going up, it wont be long before milk is over $5.00/gal. Is it just me or do you all think the minimum wage should be raised? Who could live off of $5.15 per hour? I would like to meet that person.

| I concur! $5.15/hr is a pittance. I'd like to see each member of Congress and the White House live on that for one week. I'd bet a gallon of gas [or milk--which ever is most expensive] that the laws would change very rapidly. Of course, that is my opinion. I could be wrong. TomM

I'm starting my own gas protest right now. I usually go out of town to camp on Labor Day weekend. I always pay the over inflated prices that the big oil companies go to before any holiday. This 3 day weekend, my car and truck will stay in the driveway. If we decide to do anything, we will walk there. I refuse to drive on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. These are the days that the oil companies are counting on millions of Americans burning a lot of expensive gasoline and I'm not gonna be one of them. Join me and ask your neighbors to do the same. It's a nice way to meet the people who live close to you.

| I remember $0.24 when the Oklahoma chains were having gas wars in the late 1960s. Course, that was when a car cost $2500 and the average wage was closer to a tuppence.
