MEGA-SUCKED!!!!

I have seen the MTV music video awards almost every year they have aired, and this year was the worst. The performances were for the most part forgettable with the exception of Shakira's shakedown and Coldplay's "speed of sound." Jamie Foxx also shined in his performance with Kayne West.

I found out after visiting MTV.coms message boards I wasn't the only one with a low opinion of this years fiasco. There was so much hip hop and rap performers and presenters, with Diddy doing a shit-job as host (left us begging for Chris Rock to come back as host) I almost felt like I was watching the Source or BET awards.

The biggest injustice of the night was the fact that My Chemical Romance didn't win one award for the stunning and creative "Helena" video. They are one of the best and hottest new bands to hit the scene the last couple of years. My niece was almost in tears over the fact they didn't win an award, while I sat lamenting, thinking of the good ole days when the awards were fun and exciting and not a sensory overload of bullshit. And R Kelly needs to get a fucking life! His lip sync piss poor acting out of a retarded song (5th graders write with more depth) all I can say is it was almost as entertaining as Ashlee Simpson's SNL gig, but at least she did a hoe-down.

To make Ashlee look good though, they had her come out with her sis Jessica who was wearing what appeared to be a maternity gown after a mugging.

IMHO, the producers at MTV need to cut down on their crack-intake and get a clue.

The biggest high point of the night was the return of Beavis & Butthead, with Butthead's announcement that he is changing his name to "Butt-Diddy."

Also, I lost the will to live when I learned that Paris Hilton has recorded an album and will be releasing it soon.

Proof positive that you don't need talent to get a record contract. Just money.
