Hmmm .., I think this is the beginning of a road trip ... Ahhh .. Finally in New Hampshire .. Chuck’s Dad’s summer cottage ... The Warden from Hell goes cruising the lake ..... The water falls above the Housatonic Tunnel ... Wait a minute, where is this rotund guy taking me? What is all this stuff all around us? HEY!! This is WET and COLD !! How come I can’t stand on this stuff? Is this how you do the breast stroke? Where is my perch going?? I might get WET !! THIS is fun?? We are both wet .... This is not so bad ... Catching a few rays ... The Cathedral of the Pines in Ringe, New Hampshire, (http://www.cathedralpines.com) where Chuck’s Mother’s ashes reside .. The Warden from Hell’s first elementary school ... Petersham Massachusetts. Our old home town’s town hall ... Our old home town’s village church ... Heading home .... DRAT!!! edited to correct link to Cathedral of the Pines.

| The place is totally awesome. The story behind it is that the son of the owners, in typical New England tradition, selected a piece of land, on the family property, to build his home. Where the picture is taken is where he selected his plot. He was killed in WW II. The family built the cathedral to honor him and all those killed in war. The altar is built with a stone from every state. It looks to the east, and the sun rises right behind the altar. As a kid, I used to go with the church youth group to Easter Sunrise Service. We were there to witness the sun rise, and had an Easter service there. Totally inspiring! The whole place is non-denominational. All types of services are held there throughout the year. The picture only shows the main worship area. There are several on the grounds. You can even get married there. They recently (well 30 years ago) opened it up so that your ashes can be buried there. My Mother is there. My Father, all my sisters and I, also have plots there. It has become the family's cemetary. Fantastic place to visit if you are ever in the area.
