For those that know me...

I just wanted to let you know the reason I've been unreachable this last week.
I left Omaha last Tues. to fly home, back to Canada. My grandmoter had a serious heart attack. We spent the week with her in ICU and she had done a fabulous job recovering. She was 86, and by Thursday she was up and about and doing well.
We got a call from the hospital tonight, and she went into cardiac arrest. She passed away shortly before midnight EDT. I kissed her forhead and said I love you, and she woke up and looked at me, and then the nurses sent me out of the room. We were called back in (my Mom, brother and I) and were with her for her final moments.
I do have my cell phone with me, but the cell signal here is sometimes bad. I'll try to make some calls over the next couple of days to update.
I'll let you know when I'm back home and can take on some things I had been planning.

Thats pretty remarkable. As you reminisce with family I will bet many stories of her resilience will be uncovered.

You made me laugh Don! Do you know she was golfing up to two weeks ago. If I have even half the genetic resilience she did I'll be around to irritate you a long long time
