LMAO!!!! I had to fill the tank yesterday.....almost cried with each gallon! Long gone are the days where you can just get $5.00 worth of gas and get anywhere significant! LOL That's a hilarious pic - thanks Mel!!

LMAO! I filled up my little Honda Civic yesterday for $22.00. I was annoyed at that until the guy in the big ol' Ford pickup next to me told me he just filled up for $95.00!!! I'm hoping he had double tanks...

| Probably does........it takes $60 for mine, and I just have one rather large tank. I've gotten to the point I don't even look anymore. Bill

Hey Melissa you said it! Gas in our language are for cooking or the one that smells foul. Petrol to us is what you call gas. But thanks for the laugh! Just shows you how different the English language can be interpreted!

When I bought my little puddle jumper it took 25 semolians to fill the tank from empty... two years later and I filled up yesterday from the yellow light and it was £38. A £13 hike in 2 years is outrageous especially when you consider I now spend more a month on fuel than I do in car repayments!

I am lucky that i downsized my vehicle from a big V8 to a medium sized V6 with a 6 speed in sept 2001. I used to have to fill that pig up every 4 days, now, with this car, i only fill up once a week. With the kind of driving i do, i get 24 miles to the gallon. On road trips, i get 30 to 32. This is getting rediculous. I am thinking now about getting one of those tin cans that get over 40 mpg. Mine costed $32 to fill up yesterday, and it was running on empty by the time I pulled it up. I have a '94 Mercury Sable. I know Mobil is always more expensive, but because I just got my own speedpass, I get 5 cents off every gallon, which makes it cheaper than the other places around - also it's already 5 cents cheaper where I got it yesterday than had I gotten it down here where I live now! Taking the train tomorrow!

I've got a Toyota Landcruiser with two tanks, the main tank is 97 litres(21.33 Gal) and secondry tank is 50 litres( 11 Gal). If I fill the main tank it costs me $128.00 Aust about $96.00 US. Our current price for unleaded here in the bush is $1.32c/litre or about $6.00/Gal. I think it's time I got a push bike. Barry

This Toyota Prius has a gasoline engine, and also runs on a battery. They claim you can get up to 60 MPG in the city. The battery charges when you're using the gas engine. My Dad and his wife own one, they were on a waiting list, and people were paying OVER the sticker price to get them. I'm thinking about getting one. They like it, and it runs and has power like a normal car. I drive an 8 cyl pick-up truck, which I plan on keeping, but I don't haul the dogs like I used to. Right now, I'm spending about $55.00 a month in gas for it. (I have a company truck to drive back and forth to work in). This car would be a nice little thing to get around town and take trips in. http://www.detnews.com/2003/autosinsider/0311/21/autos-330702.htm P.S., great piggy bank, Mel. I love it!
