Woke up with a horrible cold, started to feel the effects of the Neurontin (more on that later!) and found out my neighbor of 4 years had a stroke yesterday. The cold I can deal with, I'm stuffed up and sound really funny when I talk - like a muppet on helium! The Neurontin makes me feel a little drunk and my eyelids feel like they have lead weights in them but that's ok too if I get some relief from the beast. My neighbor had a stroke yesterday and is in the hospital undergoing some extensive tests. I am going to see her tomorrow night when I get off work. She has been the best neighbor I have ever had. She and her son live in the townhome next to mine and have lived here for 4 years, I've been here 5 years. He told me tonight that he is packing up and taking her back to their hometown in eastern Missouri at the end of September. It seems appropriate for it to happen this way- both of us moving out the same weekend. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. She is the most thoughtful and sweet woman. Kisses- Karen
