Owl less huh? I see you all ain't up on your folklore. Here is a link to learn about the Horned Owl http://www.owlpages.com/species.php?genus=Bubo&species=virginianus Old American folklore varied, an owl hooting outside your window for 3 (varies to 7) nights indicates impending death. Other cultures had different opions. I just like owls, this big one may or may not be the small one that used to sit in the big Oak tree late in the afternoon. I would hoot at him and he would rotate his head 180 degrees and look at me like i was crazy (so he was right wtf) An yes there are quite a few owls, roadrunners, turkeys, panthers and other critters running around these hills. {not excluding me}

The owls are not what they seem, even on Twin Peaks. FWIW, we have an owl that lives in the wooded area behind our house. We have heard it in the evening for years, and no ill effects or untimely deaths have resulted.

We had one that took up residence in the woods in our backyard, shortly after Julia was born. I thought, How nice... A guardian has been sent.
