Greek plane crash

I am sure most of you heard on the news about the Cyprus Airline plane that went down. It is a freaky and sad story. First the pilots were knocked out by possibly toxic fumes from the AC on the plane. Then, with the AC not working, or maybe a de-pressurization, the plane at 35k feet on auto-pilot got extremely cold. All on board froze to death before the plane crashed. One man sent a text message to his cousin, it read: Pilot has turned blue. Farewell cousin, we are freezing. Even after the plane crashed and burned, the bodies were still frozen solid. Up at 35k feet, the air temp is like 50 to 100 below 0......much colder than a deep freeze freezer in your local supermarket. This is so gut-wrenchingly sad. Horrific. My cousin, Michael Green, died on Sept 11 in PA. He knew he was going to die. I can't even imagine how horrific something like this would be. My heart goes to all the families that lost people in this horrific chain of events in Greece. BMonee

Holy shit... How awful... My condolences for your cousin, as well. Truth be told, though: I'd rather be aware that my death was imminent, but that's just me and my own eccentric outlook on living and dying. Condolences and comfort to the loved ones of those who perished.

I saw the news reports. How awful those passengers must have felt. And, to you, BMonee, I understand how difficult this news report must have been for you, because you lost your cousin on the PA flight on 9-11. My sympathies to all of the families of the passengers on the Greek flight, and my condolences to you on the loss of your cousin. Sandy
