lament of a newbie

hi all.
i had three days of quiet.
lots of cues and tons of shadows, but no hits.
as this is so new to me, i've only been a CHer for a few weeks, my brain says, "heck, maybe the docs got it wrong. maybe i don't have CH! wooooo hooooo!"
wrong.
yesterday, i got whacked just before dinner.
it only hit to kip7, i know cause i've had lots of 10s already.
so, it was very manageable.
i've been taking the kudzo, and folks tell me that it appears to be working for me. i took my very first imitrex at 6.30, about 10 minutes into the hit.
maybe that worked too.
and yes, i smoke and drink coffee when i get hit. and most other times, too.  Shocked
today i fly up north to new england. haven't been there since 2001, and haven't flown since i got the CH-thang, either.
am i nervous?... s*it yeah.
but, i am following the advice of you folks here and not letting this stuff ruin my life. if i get hit while travelling, i'll think of y'all, pray, take some meds, drink coffee, smoke, pace, cry... and keep on keepin' on.
sorry for the rant. thanks for reading.
pain free stuff to all.

First,  don't even think about getting hit.

I am a firm believer that if you think about it...it'll happen.   Try and remove it from your mind.

'Tis the hand we have been dealt....can't explain why...but we are the chosen.

The pain is unbearable.....but alot of good things come from CH.    The love and friendship from this site keeps me going.    They are family.

Good luck on your trip...and enjoy!

PF vibes,

Jean

Have a good trip, dan...
(remember that timing of your kudzu meds is very important... don't "forget" a dose or skip one. Consistency is very important.)
PF wishes, nani

The best of luck Daniel.

You seem to be doing okay and there isn't much profit in planning your next hit.

All the best and let us know how you're doing.

I hope your trip goes well! Smiley

Jean's advice is good: don't think about getting hit. Deal with it if/when it happends. The best revenge we can give to the beast is that we try to live as full as we possibly can.

Don't feel sorry for venting... That's why we're here for. To listen, to understand, to help you as much as we possibly can.

Take care & lots of PF time,

Welcome~~Daniel Tn.....
Though your feeling pretty helpless I can't help but think you are pretty lucky.  Do you know how long some sufferers go thinking they are dying and without a diagnosis..... You are so lucky to have found this website right away with so much information and happy faces.... (or stunned smiling faces anyway)~~~Be well and know that you are in good hands....love to you Ree
