9. In 1993 the World Trade Center was bombed the first time by:

Nope, .I really don't see a pattern here to justify profiling, do you? So, to ensure we Americans never offend anyone, particularly fanatics intent on killing us, airport security screeners will no longer be allowed to profile certain people. They must conduct random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, secret agents who are members of the President's security detail, 85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor winning and former Governor Joe Foss, but leave Muslim Males between the ages 17 and 40 alone lest they be guilty of profiling.

Let's send this to as many people as we can so that the Gloria Aldreds and other dunder-headed attorneys along with Federal Justices that want to thwart common sense, feel doubly ashamed of themselves -- if they have any such sense. As the writer of the award winning story "Forrest Gump" so aptly put it, "Stupid is as stupid does."

Come on, people, wake up!!! Keep this going. Pass it on to everyone in your address book. Our Country and our troops need our support.

And guess who just bombed London?

45%. The last question isn't something I could really answer. Beats me. Never heard anyone call them anything.

Here in western NY State, we are all say crik for creek. Sort of like your always using "bean" for our "bin," Simon.

Strange that "soda" is now overtaking our area's "pop," ever so slightly. For you Yankee philologists, "pop" is used only west of Syracuse. NY for now. I learned to use "soda when I lived in Utica, NY.

Have a grinda with your tonic, Don & Jonny.

I hear you man, and the way we have to protect ourselves is to frisk granny while 1 of the 9/11 hijackers got on to a plane with no ID at all.
Billions and billions of dollars, and like 50,000 new TSA screeners trained to frisk granny.

Are we gonna ever start goin after terrorists with determined fury?  We sent 500k troops to help protect Kuwaitis, we sent 150k troops to help protect our beloved Iraqi brethren, and we sent 25k troops to hunt down terrorists and protect americans in afganistan?

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that the USA is not doing everything in their power to hunt down and kill terrorists.  With well over a million US troops sitting idle across the world, we certainly have not used all of our resources.

I'm still ticked off cause Nancy C got frisked by a cute National Guard guy and all I got was an ugly woman. I asked for a cute National Guard guy and she told me he wasn't "qualified". I offered to "qualify" him and she got her nose out of joint! How come Nancy gets the breaks?????

I didn't know that their were still rebels and yankees, until I was at a mall in Alabama in 1996.  I saw a little boy outside wear a rebel flag hat.  I asked him if he was a rebel.  He replied "use a yankee ain't ya."

Born in OH, lived 5 years in VA Beach, VA, 4 years in the military in NC, Now I've lived in PA (20 north of the mason-dixon line) for 5 years.

Well, it's not nearly as bad as it was in WWII, when every American of Japanese descent was rounded up, loaded onto trains and interred/corralled in barbed-wire camps, their land parceled off, businesses closed and/or ransacked, and men of fighting age drafted and shipped off to Europe to fight the Germans.

Maybe, just maybe, we have learned a thing or two....

Actually, while nothing to be proud of, the internments applied only to west coast Japanese Americans. Those in the east were not stuck behind barbed wire. A large portion of west coast Japanese were farmers, good ones, but a lot of them lost their land and homes.

One thing that did happen back here was that if they lost their jobs, they had a hard time getting rehired. A lot of eastern Japanese were in business and many employed as domestics. One said that he felt that we looked at immigration differently in the east. No "Yellow Peril" back here, for instance.
