my noggin has been having a neuro party the past week and yesterday I reached my limit as to what I can handle...totally exhuasted..nervous and very upset for tadpole and me. I've been given a script of meds that are okay to take and got a little rest last night.
going to bed shortly.

Here is the better update I promised....
on thursday I realized that a week long untreated HA---migraine by day, CH at night---is nothing to screw around with, I was exhuasted and losing my appetite and a mess. So I called my Doc in tears. Followed by a chat with Eric and a call in to Bethany.( consulted all the professionals ) I had to take tylenol with codeine and I hate taking anything when pregnant. Benefit vs. who knows what risk. I had been med free since March. I'm not happy about the meds, but I am more rested now.
I also read that prolonged HA could be a sign of not so good things for the baby like preeclampsia. (Well, how the heck am I supposed to separate that out in my noggin?) Had my BP checked to rule that out."phew"all is good and I do have an appt with my OB on wednesday.
Bethany you are wonderful!
And a special shout out to the best tomata fahma on that lil ol' island east of Manhattan
And to everyone else too...vibes prayers and thoughts and laughter...posted or not...much appreciated!!!

I can understand the reservation of using codine when pregnant. My head acted up big time when I was pregnant with Megan. (They still called them massive migraines at that time  ).
I was eating them more often that I cared to out of sheer despiration. (they really didn't help) Megan turned out just fine. She is healthy and an honor student. Of course be careful...

Ah, Rori! I am so sorry I missed this before but soooooo happy you are feeling better. So important to get your rest for yourself and the "bean"! I hated taking meds when I was pregnant, too, but I promise you the doc won't give you anything that would hurt the sprout. If you have any questions about preeclampsia let me know - spent the last 3 months of my pregnancy on bedrest and in the hospital. Let me know and keep us updated and BIG hugs coming your way for you and sprout.

Man, I'm sorry that it got to that point, but glad you went to the ER, better safe than sorry!
I can't imagine how you would've sorted it out if it was preeclampsia either, but for better, thank goodness it isn't. And on the other hand, it sucks that you're still getting pounded. You'd think you'd get a break.
Still, glad you're feeling better. Bethany you're a doll, at least you can talk eachother through this at the same time, how often would that happen.

Rori, glad for the updates, I like following the progression of the "bean" as well.
