Since I've quit smoking, I've been somewhat of a random prick. You can prick your finger in public, no problem. If you finger your prick in public, it usually means probation and community service.

This proves what I always said, nothing more than placebo effect. I wonder how the supporters of the 'meridian' theory will wiggle out. I wish I was the patent holder of the drug 'Placebo', I'd be a rich man.

| Your conclusions are rather different than the researchers who carried out the work - they concluded that "The acupuncture intervention investigated in this trial was more effective than no treatment but not significantly more effective than minimal acupuncture for the treatment of tension-type headache." It does suggest that some of the effects of acupuncture are not dependent on meridians, but that is a statement most acupuncturists would agree with (independent of the issue of whether meridians with specific effects exist).
