I'm pretty sure I've read about this in past posts. You might search the archives tonight if someone with more knowledge doesn't come along. At the least, have a note on an official form from your doc describing your diagnosis and why you need to have the autoinject with you at all times. In my way of thinking, it's like a diabetic who needs to carry insulin and syringes with him at all times. But, I'm pretty sure the letter is required before they'll let you board with a "dangerous weapon" like a needle that's about 1/16" long! Have a great trip! Kris

I've carried both auto-injectors and vials and syringes in my laptop bag. I always have my prescription for them, and they never even looked beyond x-raying my bag. As long as you have your script, you shouldn't have any problems at all.

We traveled post 911 with an artilery of injections on the plane when we went to see Scott when he graduated from flight school. We had a note but no one ever asked... and no one ever found anything.... imagine that... hmmmmmm makes ya think huh? Diabetics would have injections also.... so maybe they don't find injections a threat..... ree

Take them in your carryon, They saw the needles in the xray, but were not concerned. I had them in the original boxes but was never checked. Opus/Paul

Hi, I fly every week for work and have never had a problem with them. The TSA only seems obsessed with lighters (damn)!! Good luck. Jim R

Whenever I am asked if I have any sharp objects in my carryon luggage, I answer yes - I have auto-injectors for medication that I take for a medical condition. I have never been questioned beyond that, and never been asked to show a prescription. The only time it ever went beyond this was when I was traveling in the Czech Republic, in Prague, and the soldiers saw them in the x-ray. They searched my bag, and asked me what this package was. I told them it was medication, and they said no problem. Those Czech guards were on the ball! That reminds me - how badly do I want to return to Prague? Casey
