A week ago in Dallas...

A week ago in Dallas around this time Eric, Patty and I were taking the five minute walk to breakfast up the street from the hotel .... My favorite part about the convention was laughing..... From the instant we arrived at the airport...trying to cram six of us in the car... I loved the all day smiles and hugs...waking up in the morning and having a clusterhead there to greet you. I loved looking out and seeing the sea of laughing happy clusterheads and supporters during the game show. I loved laughing so hard about nothing.... my sides ached until the wee hours of the morning...we were giddy and exhausted and stupid just from laughing. Even as the plane was descending back into NY I got hit and so did Eric and I sneezed all over him (sorry again, E) and we cracked up. Sometimes, so much of our lives are filled with pain and sadness and the things we cannot do. You wouldn't have known it by this past weekend. I've gotten a lot of thanks on this board for the work I've done, but every minute of my work, every inch of my journey to Texas....to hell and back over the last few years.... suddenly became completely worth it when I heard the laughter and saw your faces. And I thank YOU ALL from the bottom of my heart for that. you all are so special to me… If I left anyone out..I’m sorry…it’s hard to start a list of thanks when I didn’t want it to end. *Eric my brother, bodyguard “no words suffice!” (stealing yours b/c I don’t have any either) *Patty..for being yourself ...splurging for my gingerale, making me laugh time and again and for calling me on Tuesday.it made my day.Love ya! *Frank. …ever helpful and thoughtful always cheering me on…thank you. *Deb for the ride to the airport and the lunch conversation. *Chuck, you show off, thanks for showing me how to use the O2 better. Wish you didn’t have to demo that so much. And Stephanie ..you are amazing. *Mike and Jane for talking to me when I wasn't ready to sleep. It was a pleasure. *And Bethany… thrilled to meet you in person! Thanks for the snacks! And preggo support! Must get together again *Helen and Dave wonderful to hear your accents in person. I got spoiled seeing you two every day. *Sandra… you are delightful! I’m so glad I got a chance to chat with you. *Maria, Jimi and Ruth..loved your company...dancing too! *Dave(nots) enjoyed our conversations very much. *DD..for fetching me three bottles of gingerale. *Linda H and hubbyJim … learned so much from both of you…made me smile too! *DJ ..I thank you always! ..nice to finally meet you. *Jonny…great to meet you, will call when in town and thanks for the opening bid lol *Nani….you are a gem. Always cheerful and checking on me. *Blossom…so glad you made it and loved the puppy too! *Jean and Jackie…wish I had a chance to chat with you more, your presence greatly appreciated. *Bill…you were always helpful helping me locate stuff.. bummer about your glasses. *and to all of you I met for just a moment...it wasn't long enough. And it must be said that I did nothing alone...PD thank you for equally sharing the auction duties with me...so nice to have you as a new friend. Pegg, you're a wonderful Vanna and a more wonderful person for offering to fetch me O2 at a moments notice. Thanks a ton to Donna D..who claimed she had no idea what she was doing. (Yeah... Right..)Donna you did an awesome job!!! And thanks to the Board of Directors for their hard work as well. Thank you to all of the auction and door prize donors...over 50 items of all shapes and sizes were donated. Thanks to my Game show contestants Eric, Helen, Frank, Maria and Sandra and our host Steve (KOP aka Throb Eubrains)...you all had us rolling in the aisles and made the night. I knew we could entertain ourselves! May you all be happy and well and PF!! love, Rori

Rori, My sister, it was a privledge and a pleasure to finally get to meet you in person!! The many phone calls we had just simply did not do justice to the beautiful person you truly are both inside and out!! Thank you for EVERYTHING you have done and for everything you have offered to OUCH in the future. Your willingness to help is commendable!! I look forward to seeing you again very soon! Love and Hugs and LOTS of ginger ale!! DD

| 5 min. - I know Eric would still be willing to contest that! Do I hear 6 min... 8 min? SOLD!!! to 9 min. You know Rori, before this convention, Eric spoke to me with warmth about this wonderful person, "lionsound" and said such nice and... heartfelt? things, I just thought to myself, well, this person must be really special... Well, Eric was on the money honey, because you are one smart, funny and sweet person to know! Hard to describe, but in the absolute best sense of the meaning, your t-shirt said it all, "This girl is different". So when you say I "splurged" for gingerale, I find that kinda funny.... It's just my preggers friend was feeling pukey, and I wanted her to sit with us and enjoy. Kinda selfish dontcha think? As the waitress at Jay's said, "Don't get mad at me, just yell at me when you need something" So if ya want some east coast grits, just gimme a holler. Love, Pep P.S. Oh and don't forget, I WILL be up for the tailgating.. there's a first time for everything!
