James Doohan's passing is met with mixed emotions by the many Scotty's throughout the world who've had to live with "Beam me up, Scotty." for the past 30 years. Scott

THE SEARCH FOR MR. HAPPY Kirk: Stardate 7428... point....? Checkov, pick a number from one to five. Checkov: Six! Kirk: And YOU'RE our designated driver? Ok. Stardate 7.428.6 It's now three days into the search for Hap. We have been in the 5th quadrant now for... Spock, where the hell are we? Spock: How the fuck should I know. Kirk: Search for Hap goes on. His last words of communcation were: Head, and young lass. Mr Scot: Aye, a bottle of Scotch and head from a young lass.................................................................... ........ .... Kirk: Bones! Snap him out of it and have security escort Scotty to sick bay. Bones: Christ Jim, I'm only a doctor, he's completely out of it. Spock: The Admiral has sent a message from the Federation. Hap has been found on his porch back on Earth, drinking a beer and eating rubber purple worms. No word yet if they are gummy... Kirk: STFU Spock! How far are we from Earth? Spock: 42,000 light years, dumfuck. Kirk: Are we near the neutral zone? Sulu: Captain! Three Klingon cruisers are uncloaking right in front of us. And there's no toilet paper in the john. Kirk: This has been one fucked wild goat chase. I'm gonna kick his mother fuckin... Shields up and go to red alert, ready torpedoes and get the Klingons on visual. Sulu: Captain, the toilet paper! Kirk: Knock it off Sulu. You're just making that up because you shit your pants again. Spock: I've broke Hap's code and it seems he's planned some remote baitshop excursion, soon. Checkov: It appears captain, the Klingons are looking for Hap too. Seems they have a goat missing. Kirk: That reminds me, somebody check on Mr Scot. Bones: Dammit Jim, I've got seven nurses down in sick bay for him. One is moaning "more power Scotty, gotta have more". Another is looking for a place to spit. Kirk: Then what the fuck are we doing on the bridge. Spock: Logical conclusion.

There's no doubt .... Scotty had the most varied and meaningful dialog of any member of the Starship Enterprise. LOL! Still .... you can't help but love those shows and movies. The TV show is pretty laughable now, but I sure loved "Star Trek II - The Wrath of Kahn." I still love seeing it on cable. Kris

Funny stuff Kevin. Thanks for that. I was never more surprised to hear him without the accent. The poor guy was stuck in that role afterwards. Switching to another channel now. No luck. The originals are all over my cable. Charlie

I have used the "Beam me up Scotty" line since I was a kid. In any situation, or when it's getting too deep for waders I'll push my shirt and say "Scotty, One to beam up." Or my fave exclamation: "Scotty, beam me the fuck up out of here NOW!" Carl D
