Dallas Trip Report and Pics

What a weekend!. Hard to know where to begin. I guess first of all, major kudos to the board for a fantastic weekend. I have come to realize, like Frank said, that we are in very good hands. They worked their collective butts off to see that no glitches happened over the weeekend. If there was I never saw them. ClusterChuck broke the ice by getting hit in the bar right off the bat. He is such a drama queen. Security and management panicked, wanting to call 911 and crap, after the second time they came over and we collectively told them to bugger off we had it under control, they did and were great the rest of the weekend. Well some of us DID get run out of the hottub around 11:15 when we were told the jacuzzi closed at 11, but thats a different story. Bunch of new kids there this time that I met for the first time. I tried to get to know them by showing them pics of my grandkids, didn't seemed too impressed. They all decided to go clubbing and Ruthie and I went along as chaperones. While there, I got a flashback and thought that I could dance. Found out I had white mans disease and got humiliated. But we got all the kiddies back by 2 in one piece. The next night we took Batman and his sidekick Robin (Dr.Noah Rosen) although I call him Noah now. We are close. *sniff* Ladybug went and got caught up in the music and had a flashback and thought she still remembered how to dance. but her flashback soon became hot flashes and she had to come back and set down by me and we talked about grandkids. Ole Noah started buying jello shots and pretty soon he was getting down with the rest. I met Nani and we talked of Greatful Dead concerts but that didn't last long. Neither of us could remember much about those years. Lets see.....rode in the backseat of a Saab for the first time. Took a rode trip with Deb to the mall. Hope that girl never gets a chest cold, she will be in bed for a week. Jean kept going around smelling me and Jackie kept showing me disturbing pics. BTW Elaine, Jackie gave me a hug for you. She represented you well. I got to get to know Racer this time. Everybody always said what a great guy he was. And wouldn't you know it, it was true. Gator is just as big as I thought he would be. His wife is a saint. Helen (LeLimey) and her hubby was just as nice as I thought they would be. She did show her other side in the Newleywed game. Rori and Eric. Two very smart, talented people. She will do a great job in her new role on the board. Eric mumbles a lot. Pepper and Langa walking around strutting their stuff and not even knowing it. Steph walking around acting more mature than any of us. Bethany came scared to death, had a girlfriend come too for protection in case us clusterheads tried to eat her. Gave Linda's husband pointers on what to do when he retires. Saw Linda's good looking son that is a cop. Obviously got his looks from his dad. DJ brought his neighbor. My advise to you DJ....MOVE.. Felt sorry for DD. Spents weeks on her presentation, got up behind the podium and immedietly got hit. Pepper worked on her powerpoint presentation and all that we got to see was the (and in closing) summary page. Alienspacebabe spent $100 on the print that I brought that I drew when I was 8. That was kinda cool. Purpledog picked us up at the airport and took us back on Monday. That was REALLY cool. Noah's presentation was ok. Mostly a clusterhead 101 course but hey what does he know, he is just a neurologist/pychiatrist. His partner kept wiping stuff all over everybody, don't know what that was all about. Never saw so many people get hit within a 2 hour period as I did during Noah's presentation. Might ought to liven it up a little Doc. Somebody said Jonny was there. Never saw him. Oh yeas pics. Took a lot at the club. Got smart this year and bought rechargable batteries. But stupid me didn't bring a charger. No pics of the seminar or the hog feed that night. Met a lot of other new people and hugged a lot of old friends and read a lot of wimmens t-shirts. And oh yeah, NotSeinfeld finally got a date. Here is a link to what little pics I took. It is the album under DalCom 2005 http://community.webshots.com/user/hendrix1473

Seeing Donna get up to give her presentation and immediately get hit was just heartbreaking... And yeah, the wave of hits during Dr. Rosen's presentation was pretty astounding! Great photos, Jimi! It was fun hanging out with you and the ever-vivacious Ruth.

The "hit parade" during Noah's presentation was unbelievable, wasn't it? The night that Brian was "wiping" us was pretty intense, too. We gave that poor kid quite an education on CH, huh? Jimi...please be sure to tell Ruthie that I am her biggest fan. I absolutely adore her. I don't want you to get all "uppity" and "big-headed"about it, or I'd tell you how much I adore you as well. I miss you so much already!! hugs, nani

Who stuck that cigarette in my fingers? I think Nani laced it with something, but I don't remember.

WOW Thats a good report and funny to. I am so Glad you got your hug. I knew Jackie would not forget. I missed you all. I think the greatest news I have read and heard is OUCH is going STRONG! You don't get the whole picture on a message board. You do get the whole picture when your at the convention. I hope everyone gets behind OUCH and supports them again. Frank said he would fly with me next year or we would drive together so just maybe I will get to come to the next convention. Jim you look strange with a cigarette in your hand !
