Starting school tomorrow............

Hey all just wanted to tell you all that I start RN school tomorrow and I won't be able to be on here as much. I will get on daily to see how all of you are doing, support and vent a little with the CH. Then hit the books.
I think my head knows that stress is on its way. Work yesturday everything was a mess I never sat still all evening and did a lot of everthing. By dinner bam had to reach for the trex. It worked though and it was with the break down tip and I was able to work the rest of the night. I did need Traz last night but am doing soso right now. Work at 2pm. I guess Stress and Sleep deprivation would be a problem for me.

jsut remember to get a voice cassette recorder...
in case you can't sit still to take notes.

Don't let other people freak ya out with the studying. You know yourself, and just do what you have to do. I used to get stressed just listening to people talk about studying, but I did just fine by keeping up with my same ole ways!
I'm just about to take my boards a week from tomorrow!! So now I'm scared, too!!! 
You'll be just fine - make sure you check in! Great support here for those days when you feel like you're banging your head against a wall for way more reasons than one!

I went to school part time and had no problem with that last year. This year I am taking one class each sememster. I can do it!

Karla - I'm doing the same thing.
In September, I start with one class a semester - except for the first few classes, they are online! Woohoo!!!! Online classes!! That's like heaven for me! LOL
I should have my neonatal nurse practitioner in a few years, but I'm in no rush. I'm just beginning to learn about these little tykes now!

I did nursing school the easy way - 19 yrs. old, prior to CHA's, and ready to learn a new career. I truly admire anyone who takes that kind of education on at a later date.

Hey all first day over on to the next. Got most of the reading done for today but its tomorrow that I worry about. Does anyone have any helpful hints on how to read several pages in one night??? I need to take notes and review med math somewhere in there. Any suggestions Lizzie2???????????????

Two days down I feel more like an adult then I did in the LPN course. Same when it comes to a ton of reading. At least this year I can have a tape recorder for lectures. That makes it nice.
Off to read before I have to head out to class.

Yeah.....I never read!!!
I learned by taking notes, listening, doing online learning activities, and through clinicals.
I can't learn by reading a textbook - I don't get anything from it at all....
Just wait for the nervous jitters the first few weeks of a job!! Last night I participated in my first neonatal code.....Ohhhhhhhhhhhh not a pretty experience! 
But....you'll make it! Just keep the end goal in mind!
