What's that smell?!

Today I opened my door to get some air circulation going in my place. I sat back down and the cool breeze started to move the stuffy air around.
(sniff, sniff)
"Man! I need to take out the garbage. That smell is rank.", I thought.
Being the male that I am, I put up with the smell and finished watching the show on TV. I sat there wondering what the hell I threw away to make it reek so badly. Hmm, maybe something died in here?
Ok, show over. I bundled up my trash and (sniff), it doesn't smell - odd. I am taking the stuff outside when the foul smell hit me again full force.
As it turned out it wasn't my garbage, the gardner had spread some compost around each tree outside. It may help the garden but compost is not your friend!
No offense to anyone in Oklahoma but it did bring back some memories of my drive through the state a few weeks ago(actually that was more like a manure smell). I'd take the manure over this stuff let me tell you!
