Tea does work. I lie down in a dark quiet room with a wet towel on my head. I do not breath thru mouth or nose. I have learned to take oxygen through my ears. Sometimes I listen to Gregorian Chants. Then I take the boiling hot tea and pour it on my groin. Doesnt eliminate the CH but definitely distracts from the head pain. Gregorian Chant CDs are less than $19.00.

Dear duerrs: You will have a very hard time convincing anyone on this site that tea will stop a ch, but if it works for you, God bless you. Others have come here with remedies that they feel works for them and do not work for anyone else. It would be most interesting if we had some history of what you have tried, in the line of medications, and if you've actually been diagnosed with CH. Have you read our site, and taken the cluster quiz? If you do indeed have CH, you are in the right place and just need to get to know a little about the history of other clusterheads, what we've gone thru to get a proper diagnosis and all of the agony with medications, caffiene, water, ice, heat, pepper, shrooms, over-the-counter, under-the counter and a million other things we've tried. We've walked thru suicides crisis' with our friends, and have even lost a few. This site has been here for over 6 years and many thousands of clusterheads have been through here, so we really do have a handle on this thing. Don't leave if you truly have ch, no matter what. Just do a little reading, get to know us, and then venture out into the message board.

i have tried prednazone, verapamil 120mg (currently taking) seems to break the cycle after about a week but this is the first time i'm taking it at the begining of the cycle. i usually don't go to the doctor till i cannot stand it anymore (lack of sleep does tend to get on ones nerves). i have a scrip for an oxygen tank, i was at the oral surgeon during an attack once and 10 minutes after they put the oxygen mask on my face the pain went away, i never had access to oxygen before so i can't say that it helped or was the headache going to end anyway.

duerrs: Verap. and O2 are a combination that work for a lot of people here, but the doseage of the Verap. is usually quite a bit higher. Since I do not use it, I won't make a recommendation about dosage, but others here will if you discuss it.

Quote:leave it at the back of your throat for a few seconds then swallow. I've seen this technique berfore. avoid breathing thru your nose, sometimes i find that when the headache john is coming, if i stop breathing thru my nose and only breathe thru my mouth, the headache john will go away almost right away Now it makes sense. Yes, they do leave right away afterwards. i'm not sure if that would work but for 19 dollars And you charge a dollar less than what it goes for on Eight Mile Rd. Smart business. go to johnnys webpage where it says mean people suck, Your words used to Jonny make him sound so prophetic too. |

duerrs, read the instant message that I sent you a while ago. There is NO survival rate on this board for anyone who attacks Jonny, or any other family member, and by the way, he is already chronic. I'd hate to see you leave because you have convinced me that you do have cluster headaches....you just started on the wrong foot.
