Congratulations and happy headache for all Londoners - hard to imagine the traffic getting worse. Maybe you can rent your flats for 80,000 pounds for the month and go to Spain to avoid the hassles.

I was an Angeleno for many years. When the Olympic Committee chose LA to host the err..what? 88 Olympics, there was a groan heard round the County.....but, know what?? There was a magic spell that slipped over the entire area. Freeways were less congested, smog was at record lows, people were kinder. It was amaaazing! We enjoyed several events, Volleyball in Long Beach, Synchronized Swimming at the Coliseum, a diving competition in Malibu , kayaking at Pyramid Lake, and closing ceremonies.....each event was wonderful to attend, easy to get to and well managed. We traded pins and met people from all over the world. In all, it was a marvelous time.and oddly, the day the Olympics were history, the spell broke......it was grumpy city once again...... I know big companies did what they could to alleviate t he traffic woes, but that was only a part of it.......at any rate, I do hope the same occurs in "12 in London..... Oh, and I didnt get to rent MY house out for thousands........sheesh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cathi

| Chirac did some harsh comments about the Finnish food... We're angry. And some of us Finns have the habit of recalling the nasty things said about us for a long, long, long time. Not necessarily a good thing, but it happends.

Sandie I'm telling you here and now you better be coming for visits alot sooner and a lot more often than flippin' 2012! As for Chiracs comments about our food - It was another Frog who said "How can anyone govern a nation that has 246 different kinds of cheese?" (Charles De Gaulle!)

You know, they were even talking this morning (or was it yesterday?) on Good Morning America about the difference between the British and French armies food. The Brits ate meat, potatoes, etc. and the French ate lots of light bread, rabbit food, etc. Diane Sawyer started yappin about the saturated fat of the Brits food, etc. But I was yellin at the TV, oh SURE, but just WHICH ARMY has substinance and have succeeded in battles??? Hmmmm? Dumb yahoo's. I hate the news now more than ever. They all think they're right about everything. Ya well ya know what I say? NOTTTT!!!!

| Serves the worthless bastages right. The french have been fuckin up by the numbers for a while now. They rejected the EU constitution - pissing off a lot of the EU. The commentary about Finland, England, anti-US bs (even though we saved their bacon more than once). You just don't be as hoity toity, high and mighty, better than thou with your nose up in the air and not expect some negative consequences.

Here.. I've got a "laugh" for you.. and yes I'm being sarcastic! I just saw a frog on telly who was saying this is what we get for going to war against the arab nation. He said we (UK) were the #2 target in the world (guess who's #1 guys?!).... and France wasn't even in the top ten! THe "funny" part is he didn't even realise what an arse he was making of himself. I hope they replay that clip again and again and again...

What a bunch of wussies. They had to ban fireworks in France. Every time a firecracker went off, the French army surrendered.

That's superb! Continue to foment hatred against everybody and everything a bit different from you, that will greatly advance peace on earth. (After all, the Americans and the British have defeated the fascists (each on their own), so why shouldn't they claim their ideology?)
