Just got back home after driving across the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway.  It was a trip.

A dear friend of mine, Buddy, who I have known since we were seven years old, died on Friday after complications from open heart suegery.  He was 49.

Many people who knew him came into town and alot of us met at another friends house to dust off old photos, share stories and I truely can't remember when I laughed so hard.

We are lucky in that we, as a group, have managed to stay close through our lives. And the group has grown in numbers like I never realized fully until tonight.

Tomorrow we will bury him in the midst of the storm.  The pouring rain will serve us well.

Make the effort and spend some time with your dear friends.  You don't know how much you are going to miss them.

Steve,

I am so sorry for your loss... Cry

I have a bunch of great friends I'll miss a lot. I am glad, though, that you got the chance to share memories with other friends. I'm sure that'll help a lot in future as well.

Best wishes & condolences,
Sanna/sandie99

I lost a friend last month, He died in the early morning hours of my birthday. My wife and youngest daughter were at his house the night before, he put my birthday present together (a grill). He was two years younger than I am, life is too short. I knew that he would die young, it was still too soon.
