An e-mail buddy of mine sent this to me today to let me know how his holiday weekend went.  Not sure I want to answer this e-mail.

And, I pulled a real boner......fell from a 10' ladder with a chainsaw in hand around noon on Saturday. Didn't hurt the chainsaw much, but when my head met up with it, I ended up gashing open my forehead. So much for my pretty face!!!! (ya, right!!) Can you say "headache"????

Well - I do think slicing your head on a chainsaw would cause one hell of a headache - even if it's not CH!!

Ask him (or her?) if he took a couple advil for his headache.  Wink

This buddy doesn't know anything about my head. Just an e-penpal.  I almost wanted to write back something about feeling that sh*t a few times a day for months or years without end.

Nahhhhhh....best to leave this one alone. Smiley

He fell from a 10' ladder with a chainsaw in his hand. That tells me he either did not position the ladder firmly or he was to lazy to climb down and move itand he tried to reach to far. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

And the worst thing he did, to describe his accident, he used the word boner.

What to say to him?

How about "HERE'S YOUR SIGN!"

Not sure where he got a 10' ladder unless it was a step ladder and if so, I'd ask him which step he was on. Might have been the first step. Didn't say how far he actually fell....just a weird description IMHO. Sounds like he doesn't usually use either a ladder OR a chain saw.

Send him to www.clusterbusters.com

We'll fix his headache AND give him a lesson in tree trimmin.  Grin

Kickback is a bitch, if you run a saw long enough its not a question of if but when its gona getcha. I have a hardhat that saved me once, a limb seesawed and hit my elbow hard forceing the saw right to my head. I never complained about wearing chaps or my hardhat again.

Yep. I grew up cutting firewood. Every summer, we'd cut two cords of oak and a cord of cedar, and then I'd spend all summer splitting it with a sledgehammer and iron wedges.

Falling 10' with a chainsaw, and catching it to the forehead... Wow.... That dude in the movie, "Pi" would like to speak to you about self-trepanation!  Shocked Grin
