For $10,000, Woman Tattoos Ad on Forehead By The Associated PressThu Jun 30, 9:40 AM ET For $10,000, Kari Smith has gone ahead and had her forehead tattooed with the Web address of a gambling site. Bountiful, 30, who sold her unusual advertising space on eBay, said the money will give her 11-year-old son a private education, which she believes he needs after falling behind in school. "For the all the sacrifices everyone makes, this is a very small one," she said. "It's a small sacrifice to build a better future for my son," she said. "To everyone else, it seems like a stupid thing to do. To me, $10,000 is like $1 million. I only live once, and I'm doing it for my son," she said. Tattoo artist Don Brouse said he and his staff spent nearly seven hours Wednesday trying to talk Smith out of putting "GoldenPalace.com" above her face. When he did go through with it, he kept the inch-tall letters close to her hairline, where bangs or a hat could provide some cover. Smith's eBay auction attracted more than 27,000 hits and 1,000 watchers. Bidding reached $999.99 before Goldenpalace.com, an Internet gambling company in the Mohawk Territory of Kahnawake, Canada, met Smith's $10,000 asking price.

It's not too late, drop all your stuff and move to the islands....or the mountains. build a fortress and hide inside. Life's about to get intere-sting.... Now it's not just a one night stand... now they want your body for billboard space. Careful, don't get shang-hied near a tatoo parlor. Might work for bill gates after all....www.ben-over.duh

$10k, which after taxes will be about $7k, will fund her little idiots private education? If he is 11, he is going into 6th grade. Assuming 'private education' means through high school, her ape-child has 7 more years of school. So $1k a year toward his schooling? Funny thing... it will cost her $10k+ to have it removed. Idiots are put onto this planet for our amusement.

In this case, it might be considered an enhancement. Just remember.....it doesn't take all kinds, it's just that we have all kinds. Bill

The only tattoos I've had are removable ones. But even one of them freaked my mother out! She didn't know that the ones with glitter aren't for real...

I have a feeling that she could have collected as much, and probably a lot more by reneging on the deal. If she were pursued by them, it would make a hell of thing for Larry King, possibly Jay Leno, who gets a lot out of strange ebay material, and every screamfest on cable. She could make good money with the story and if she played her cards right, people would send her money to keep her from going through with it. What court battle it would make...not that it would have gotten that far. Bad ebay feedback? Even that would be a hell of a story. Charlie

Only tattoo I ever saw and liked was on the arm of a monstrous great bikie. On top it read "Lorraine" with a big red line through it. Underneath that was "Rachelle" with a big red line through it. Underneath that was "Belinda" with a big red line through it. Underneath that was "Donald".

hmmmm. Don't know about you but I swear that I see the Virgin Mary on her cheek. Better head for ebay where the cheese sandwich fetched something like $5,000 for a similar thing. Charlie
