My first tattoo...and a few [MORE] Hawaii pics

I just got in from Hawaii. I am so sad to be back. Anyway, I got my first tat on the trip. On the first day there I went snorkeling and swam with sea turtles. I was just amazed by them. I then saw some different designs in the tattoo shop, and thought it was pretty cool. So, here is the tat a few hours after I had it done. It is on the back of my right calf. And here is a picture of one of the amazing sunsets in Maui: I will try to post more soon, but I really need to take a shower. Casey Also, if the files are to large, I can try to scale them down more. let me know.

Remember I said I wanted good notes of what you did since I am going to Maui in Oct. What else did you do and was it worth the money? Any good places to eat? Did you see a Leueau? Where was it at? I want to see the woman doing the shaky dance and the men doing the fire dance. Don't know where to go. PS Awesome tat!!

Oh, and Karla, as for things that we did in Maui, there are some things that are for sure DO NOT MISS: First, you really need to get the book Maui Revealed. Here's the website - http://www.wizardpub.com/maui/maui.html This book was fantastic in helping us explore the island. I highly recommend it. As a matter of fact, it is the only guidebook that we saw people using. Second, you have to see Warren and Annabelle's Magic Show, in Lahaina. Here is the website: http://www.warrenandannabelles.com/ I have never laughed so hard in my life. The Maui Revealed book says it s the best show going on Maui right now. I highly recommend it. We did it with dinner included, which was a little more pricey, but well worth it. Third, as for a Luau, we went to [i]The Old Lahaina Luau[/]. Here is the website: http://www.oldlahainaluau.com/index_main.html No fire spinning at this luau, but, it did have the best food that I ate while in Hawaii. And it was all you can eat. Maui Revealed talks all about different Luaus. Fourth, we drove around West Maui. This is not the Road to Hana, which we were not able to do this time. This was a drive around the Western Point of Maui, through where you see the Blowhole, the Olivine Pools, and go through some very small villages. We went to see this guy in a little village who sells the best coconut candy, and grows and sells his own pineapples, papayas, coconuts, and makes jam. His shop is in his front yard. Also, in this village, is what Maui Revealed says is the "absolute best bananna bread in teh world." We got some, it is fantastic. I don't know the name of the village off hand, but can get it if you want it. Fifth, we drove to the top of Haleakela. This drive takes you from sea level to over 10,000 feet in about 25 miles. The landscape at the top is amazing, a completely different world from the beach. Some people go up for sunrise, and some people bike down (about a 37 mile bike ride). We didn't do either, but both sounded fun. To get there for sunrise, you have to leave at like 3 in the morning, and I was too beat. Other than all that, we snorkeled, and that was fantastic. I think that I will take Frank's advice and get scuba certified before my next trip. And vig - YES IT IS PARADISE! I will be going back soon. And Pam, sorry, I didn't really see any cats. Sorry to be back in Toronto, Casey
