M. Night Shyamalan's new movie "Lady in the Water", which is about an apartment superintendent who finds a sea nymph living in the complex's pool, will begin filming at an industrial complex a few hundred feet from where I live, in a few weeks. All of his movies have been filmed in my home County except for Sixth Sense and unbreakable (which were filmed about 20 miles south in Philly). Paul Giamatti and Ronny Howard's daughter are gonna star in it and I'm gonna check out if they need any extras. Wish me luck. Jimmy

Aww another one? I still didn't see "The Village" 6th sense and Unbreakable both have parts filmed right downtown, too Jimmy right? Every time I see unbreakable, it makes me slightly afraid to get back on SEPTA. haha Dave might step in about this...for some reason I think his little brother was chosen as an extra for Signs, but I forget if it was him or not. Hope you get to become an extra! Lizzie

Yup, Carrie is correct. My younger brother went to an open audition and was chosen to be an extra based on the fact that, at the time, he looked like he just stepped out of a time maching from the 1800s. He had long hair and a full beard, which the told him NOT to shave under any circumstances! So after M. Night reviewed the pictures of potential extras, he said he wanted to give my brother a speaking part. If anyone has seen the movie, you'll know which part I'm talking about. He was supposed to be in the warning tower with the other actor and they were going to have a conversation. So my brother went down to his offices and got fitted for warddrobe and everything looked good to go, but then a few weeks go by and we didn't hear anything back from them. We had called a few times and then later found out that the person who did the casting left or was let go or something and took a lot of the information with her, so my brother got lost in the mix and they had changed the scene in the meantime. So he didn't get to be in it. But it was a pretty cool opportunity nonetheless.

| Yeah...Unbreakable and 6Th Sense was filmed almost entirely in Philadelphia (Outside scenes anyway). Signs was filmed about 3 to 6 miles away from my house. The house they used is in Tyler State Park as well as the wife's car accident. Everything else was done in Morrisville and Doylestown, Bucks County. The village was filmed on a closed set, on a field off Cossart Road in Chadds Ford, Pa. But this one is being filmed literally a few hundred feet from my home in Levittown, Pa. Bucks County. At the old 3M airport/industrial park. They're building the set right now. Why don't you and Dave join me Liz...I'll let you know when they're looking for extras. Maybe Dave's brother get's another chance. Jimmy

| Sounds fun, Jimmy! Let me know what you hear! Signs had parts filmed in...is it New Hope? I went there several months ago to see where the bookstore and hardware shop were located (from where they go into "town" in Signs). My ex-boyfriend hated that movie. He thought it made people from Buck's county look dumb. He also pointed out that they don't have a "Buck's County Sherriff" - guess that's true... He was a grump. LOL Lizzie

| I don't know about the bookstore and Hardware store...but the pharmacy where they get the asthma meds is Burns Pharmacy in Morrisville...just across the river from Trenton. I was there trying to meet Mel Gibson and the place was mobbed. Saw the back of his head...LOL. Bucks County does have a Sheriff's Dept http://www.buckscounty.org/departments/sheriff/ But they only deliver outstanding warrants and transport prisoners between lock-ups....kinda like our Constables. But nothing like in the movie. They leave the actual Police work to the different Townships. You can go to a lot of parts especially the Northern County, and see scenes straight out of American Gothic. Jimmy

Jimmy-- I honestly don't remember all the details of being in New Hope, but at least I *think* that's where we were! Went to lunch at a little bed and breakfast looking place across the street. Makes sense about the Buck's County Sherriff. After he had said there wasn't one, I did see a Chester County Sherriff's car. Diane's (my roomie from Jefferson) dad is a state police sargeant on this end of the PA turnpike. Diane works for Uwchlan Twp (ambulance) but we have police the same way - via townships. Lizzie
