How to cheer up broken-hearted???
« on: Jun 13th, 2005, 11:59am »
Quote Quote Modify Modify

My dear friend needs to be cheered up. She and her boyfriend broke up lately.

The trouble is that she lives in Sweden and I'm here in Finland. Any ideas what I could do? Do you know some nice email thing I could send her...?

Thanks in advance,
Sanna/sandie99

They have little e-cards on the internet, you could send her a little greeting like that.

If that doesn't work send her lots of chocolate ice cream!

Oddly enough, they're on this site.  Just go back out to the Message Board topic, scroll all the way down and click on the advertisement at the bottom, if it's still there when you look for it.

Helen, has your hubby tried Finnish milk chocolate as well? That sure helps out in many crises and I'm not even a chocaholic! My dad was, though... Wink

Okay, since chocolate is no1, I shall look up her address and send some of Finland's finest to her tomorrow. If someone else likes some milk chocolate from Finland, send me your address. I'm on generous mood... Grin

Hmmm...now, is it possible to send Ben & Jerry's New York Super Fudge Chunk to her....

No competition.  You don't have to cuddle or worry about them afterwards.

'Broken hearts need to bleed..' that's so poetic! Smiley

But true. Venting does good at times like that. Thank goodness for messenger!

I heard that some people scream, cry, moan, vent, whatever for 24 hours and then they're okay. I'm personally weaker than that. I need more time.

And I don't wonder at all that so needs my friend. Naturally the breakup is so new, so she needs her time to heal. I wish I could do more, though... Sad
