I have had family visiting this week end . Its been fun. Tonight we sat around and talked about my Dad. Dad died March 22nd 2005. It was fun laughing and telling the stories and hearing them. I went to looking at pictures after everyone went to bed. All that keeps going through my mind is. I want my Daddy! I want to hug his neck again. I want to hear him tell the same story over again. I want to hear him say "you still here." I miss him. When he didn't know me he would call me the nice Lady. Fathers day is next week end. I just feel so lost ! God I love that man. Here are some pictures of my Dad. If you click on slidshow you can see them better. Or click on each one it takes them to the middle frame. I am going to try to sleep now. Fathers day, Call your dad and go see him and telling him how much you love him. http://www.jholloman.photosite.com/Album5/

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.

I've always felt that if someone is remembered fondly and talked about frequently, it's a way to make the memory more alive. Keep talking about your Dad and remembering the good things he did and he won't truly be gone. It may sound sappy but I do things on a regular basis to make sure I remember those who have passed . I kind of feel I owe them for the many things they taught me. Mike

This is a very nice tribute to your Dad, Elaine. My sisters and I do this on a pretty regular basis for family members that we've lost. Nothing sappy about it, Mike. It's a healthy thing to do and yes, we do owe it to them to remember them by talking and laughing and crying about our experiences with them.

22 years and counting, E.......there is still a hole in my life where Daddy belongs. Please, look at me.......all I can tell you is the pain of losing him slowly.ever so slowly is somehow eased by the warm memories you wrap around yourself to ease the pain. Consider this, if you will. His life here on earth had become difficult. He was in pain, and he hated having you see him that way. He is out of pain now....and God made the choice, not you, nor he. He is with you, E.....he's everywhere around you. He loves you as much as you love him. Nothing changes that. Hugging you tight, Cathi

I miss mine too 09-20-83. I really miss arguing with him. That's what we did the best - argue (about anything it didn't really matter - he'd take one side and I'd take the other).

I've missed my Father almost everyday for almost 35 years (March 13th, 1971). I was 4 years old and still remember that day as if it was yesterday. I was raised by a pack of women...so I guess I'll wish my Mom a Happy Fathers day. Great tribute, Elaine. Jimmy

Elaine I'm sorry for the pain you are experiencing. The fact that lots of others go through it doesn't make it any easier for you. Cling to your memories of his love for you and keep his memory alive to share with your siblings, children and grandchildren. You don't ever get over the loss of a loved one, but you do learn to live with it.

to you, Elaine. If there's any part of us that is eternal, I know that it is the love that we've shared. It just goes on and on... It never ends. As lonely as parting may be, it really only is, "See you later," and never truly, "Goodbye." In the heart, there is no such place as "far away."

Elaine, I'm so sorry for your pain friend. Hold on tight to those memories, and grieve as you must. In time, a smile filled with warmth of wonderful memories will easier. Hugs a plenty on their way. Love, EDNA
