While typing and trying to get my head out of my head, I just noticed someting. My cat (hoppy - taken in as a stray with broken leg) who normally goes to great lenghths to ignore me, avoid me and provide me with the nastiest looks (unless its dinner time) is curled up and purrning in my lap and in a way is providing comfort. Guess you dont always recognize loyalty. By the way my faithful dog has used this opportunity to completely take over my side of the bed. Go figure. Tom

Would the owner of the propane torch, egg beater, pipe expander and vise grips please claim these items. They're lodged in my head and I need the space.

My cat, Kiki, is the exact same way. She barely has anything to do with me, until I'm in cycle and sitting on the couch, exhausted after wrestling with the beast. Then she hops into my lap, curls up, and begins purring... Animals, especially cats, are highly intuitive.

Her: "Have you ever hit a deer?" Me: "What, like, in the FACE?" Her: ..... "WHAT is the MATTER with you!?"

I used to own a belgian mare that passed away last year - anywho, I was once riding her bareback when she stopped dead in her tracks and would'nt move and kept turning her massive head to look at me...literally a minute later, I got hit with a kip 10. My Doxie usually won't bother with me unless she feels I need to be comforted by her presence if i'm sick or when I was getting hit. I agree Frank...animals are highly intuitive. Langa

Had a German Shepherd who was extremely perceptive and would get really noticeably sad when I was being hit. Still have a sweet old female Lab who's not that perceptive but likes to lick salty tears from your face and curl up tight next to you -- anytime. Which is enough sometimes.

I have a jack russel terrier...he will sit outside the shower waiting for me when I'm getting hit, and will lie down next to me licking the side of my head...right next to my eye like he knows where I'm hurting (he'd lick my eye if I'd let him)....and when its over, he snuggles right up next to me....ahhhhhhhhhh...I love my little buddy!!

My lab curles up next to me and licks his junk, and the cat hates me almost as much as I hate her. At least the rooster likes me probably cause I'm a cock like him. LoL

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.

| My former landlady's cat Kosh used to comfort me everytime I was sick. It was lovely.

Tonight my dog has taken on the responsibility. But she doesn't look real happy about having to give up my side of the bed. Tom
