Hello all,
Sean here with your monthly update. Well it looks like my time here with the 26 MEU is coming to a quick close. If the gods are pleased with the sacrificial stuffed animal goat that I beheaded while wearing shower shoes, my Kevlar, and a Speedo, (editors note: never drink absinthe) I should be out of here sometime around June XX and heading back to the land of the big PX. I will be back in the states around June XX to finish my check out of the Marine Corps. It has been real and it has been fun, but it hasn't been real fun. Ashley plans on coming down to North Carolina on the weekend of our nations birthday. I am also proud to say that I will be able to paint the Town of Jacksonville one more time with some close buddies who plan on taking a trip down from the great land of Natick. Luckily another one of our close buddies Tim MXXXXXX is now a police officer in the town of Topsail which is where we will be looking at bikini clad women for most of their trip while sipping on doubles of Tequila. Shortly after they head back to the future capitol of the world, Massachusetts, I will begin my Terminal Leave from the Marine Corps on July XX. I will enjoy 65 days of paid time off until Sept XX, where I will officially be Sean MXXXXX again. I will no longer be poked or prodded by "docs" nor yelled at for standing around with my hands in my pockets. God help the man who talks to me in a degrading way, he will feel the wrath of 5 years of being verbally berated and not being able to knock the teeth out of the individual. Eventually, I will be able to coexist with civilians again and possibly even feel like one. I feel slightly cheated, never was I able to ride a horse on a giant chess board and put the king in check mate, nor did I run a gauntlet and slay a fire monster. But I sure as hell climbed a steep mountain. Apparently you need to put other things in your original contract before enlisting. Here is a photo of all the guys in Kuwait. They have been my family for over a year now. We have worked, partied, laughed, cried, fought, and bled together. I will miss you guys and will come down for your return.
