It's disgustingly political... Texas and Florida (George and Jeb) GAIN jobs, everyone else loses. Bob

One of our brothers' job may be (probably is) in danger. Sam (ByteMe) works at Cannon AFB here in NM and it's on the close list.

We got a couple within this county with fingers crossed. Selfridge Air National Guard Base 334 active-duty military personnel 1,300 civilian employees 3,400 Reserve and National Guard troops U.S. Tank and Armaments Command (TACOM) over 4,000 employed over 9000 in one county, don't know yet. A county commitee formed to lobby the Pentagon and feel they made a case. *I haven't seen this mornings list yet. *update: Both facilities will remain open. TACOM will gain 647 jobs to become the premier facility for developing military vehicles. Selfridge stays open but will lose the 927th Air Refueling Wing, which will realign with the 6th Air Mobility Wing at MacDill Air Force Base in Florida. About a thousand jobs lost and but Selfridge will gain the 110th Air National Guard from Battle Creek, bringing in 247. Kevin M
