actually i protested peta protesting wendy's once. they where protesting the treatment of chickens, so I went into wendy's and ordered some chicken nuggets and a chicken sandwich and came out and offered them to the protesters because they looked hungry. the cops there almost fell over laughing so hard.

PETA is a little wacked...Penn and Teller did a great Bullshit program on them. I know of dog shows where PETA folks have opened cages to let the dogs out. Yea, like my little corgis would last a day on their own in the wild. They'd stand at my back door, pawing to get in. Scariest thing to me is their affiliate group, the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. I'm all for treating animals humanely, but animals aren't people. (Jonny, you are just cracking me up - you've been putting a lot of "fishin'" posts out there lately...) Chris

Penn & Teller, on their SHOWTIME "Bullshit" program really got into this. It was quite a study. They indeed do some very bizarre stuff. Weird bunch in charge and they have gone way off the deep end. Charlie

PETA would hate me... I've had pets and I eat meat... Should I be scared? Don't think so. BTW, Finland had its own animal rights protestors, so called "fox girls". They attacked fur farms and released foxs. In the first attacks the activists were just girls, that's where the name comes. But later on there were also boys. Few activists were wounded after one fur farmer started shooting... Now, I'm not taking the activists' side here, but I'm sure that the answer is never in the violence and weapons... Peace, Sandie

What really scares me about PETA is their "badly hidden" affiliation with groups such as SHAC, ALF, & ELF...as well as their affiliate group "Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine." These groups will stop at nothing to get what they want. Pipe Bombs, Harrassment of wives & children of employees of research companies...and much worse. If you eat meat, own a pet, or are related to someone who works at a pharmaceutical company or meat-processing plant...you're on their list of enemies.

| Pam, I've once studied journalism a year with people who do exactly like that.... thinking with a wrong track... Oh, what a wonderful year that was!
