I accidentally met a clusterhead.....

This is a first for me.
I went to the bank Friday to open a new account and sat at the desk of a financial manager whom I've chatted with many times.
I was complaining about my upcoming back surgery and she said "yes, we all seem to have some health problem of one kind or other. I have blah blah and cluster headaches and" and I said kind of loud" you What? I had clusters for 28 years." A few people turned to look at us because I was so loud. Then she said "NO WAY!" really loud and more heads turned.
I asked her how the fellow employees treated her and she said that when they see her jump up and grab her car keys and walk out fast, they just take over for her and don't say a word. She takes her jeep out into the middle of the parking lot between a bunch of cars and does her O2 thing. They're really cool with it.
We had a long talk, I asked her to visit us here and she said she did once a long time ago by wasn't treated too nicely and left. I asked her to try us again. I hope she does.
We both had tears running down our cheeks and did the big hug when I left, leaving her with my home phone number to call whenever she felt she needed someone who understood. She promised she would.
I really wonder how many of our people are out there all alone yet. If only I could afford a bill board, I'd make the investment. My heart is heavy for all of you.
We need shirts and hats that say, in big letters, "DO YOU KNOW WHAT A CLUSTER HEADACHE IS? ASK ME".

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.
