Early morning headaches...

H/A Cronies, Once again, I'm episodic. My problems come at night shortly after bed, I know I'm preaching to the choir here. My oxygen works for me everytime within minutes! I bow down to O2! But.. if I do not take a Zomig, it seems if it only suppreses the beast until about 90 minutes later. Anyone fall into this category? Weird deal. I'm ready to get my snooze on and here I sit. Let me know what you guys think, I appreciate all your thoughts and concerns on here very much. This site is great, makes me feel included ya know. Night... I hope...

Sorry you're getting hit. A few years ago I did the o2 thing and it worked okay for awhile, but then it got where the only time it would work was when I left it strapped to my face. If it felt like it aborted, I'd take the mask off, only to kick back up from zero to sixty within 90 seconds. Sending PF vibes in hopes of shortening your cycle. Peace, Carl D

I can't speak to drug therapy other than beta blockers many years ago (Inderal....helped me way back when) I can tell you that the timing is right on the money. You'll find that many of get hit about 1-1/2 hours in to sleep. It's almost like clockwork. I'd get hit twice during the night and sometimes early morning. Mine averaged about 20 minutes unless I used the technique I posted earlier. It was my "drug" and most of the time very effective. I'm very glad the O2 has been working so well for you. Stick with it and rant away here. It's our thing. Charlie

I'm probably going to get ripped apart for this reply but here goes o2 rarely worked for me. Only pushed it back and then seems to hit with all its force!! okay, running for cover now

Conrad, you are part of CH family now... BTW, that donut joke comes from my mum. Her "brilliant" advice to every situation is 'get a donut'... I wish it would work with ch.... Anyway, is zomig nasal spray? I tried that last spring and all I got was side effects. Wishing you lots of PF days, Sandie

Conrad - read up on Melatonin - it can really help you get through the night. If that doesn't work for you, try Dramamine or Benadryl Be careful with taking too much Zomig. It can cause more attacks in the long run. Yes, it aborts well, but that's the other side of the coin for most of the triptan meds.
