Did you know that the guild lines for generic meds is 20 mg's stronger or weaker and it is OK for them to be that way ??? There not consistant and that is how much they can be off. Brad had a doc's appt today and the receptionist had called in generic paxil for him verses the name brand (BIG DIFFERENCE in price too....wow)....he's been feeling lousey and the doc told him that may be why. I have heard where people on SERIOUS meds that must have a specific amount each dose have went thru withdrawels on generics cuz of the difference is strength and it not bein consistant with each dose or bottle it is sold out of. Doc is haveing him try a new med.....not sure that is helping with how he is feeling. I went thru HELL with paxil and think it is an evil demon drug. I was sicker then holy hell when I stopped takeing it for a dam year !!! It was horrible what I went thru and wasn't sure what was goin on !!! Hormones got off hilter, hair came out in clumps, was nasious for a year and weak and shakeing. Lost all the weight I gained (over 20 lbs) in about 2 weeks time I could NOT loose prior. I jus think that is bullshit how generic can fluxuate and it be allowed. My insurence will ONLY pay for generics too. System sucks Pam

interesting yet it still seems to refer to genetics as the same strength as brand but did mention a 10 % lee-way. The doctor told Brad today there is a REMARKABLE difference in alot of meds with generics that can really effect the patient esp with antidepressants. Cutting back that much after takeing that med can really screw you up.....and I do mean bad !!! But we either take generics or pay full price which can mean a hundred bucks difference. Ka-rist !!! And Brad not feeling well like today is STRONG proof how serious it can be. He couldn't even work outside tonight he feels so terrible....that is NOT cool.....it was NICE out today. And gettin used to a new med is goin to be a possible problem how he feels. What will happen if Imitrex goes generic.......can you take a lesser strength that may or may not work risk ? Too strong one dose and too weak the next. I'm jus pissed off at how things are these days.......who's in charge Pam

There will never be a generic for imitrex... the greedy drug company bastards will end up changing one molecule in the mix, and marketing it under another brand name, with another patent on it for 17 years... There is already a long acting version of imitrex, and I bet they release it a month before the patent runs out on the tablet form. the greedy fucks
