Reading all these posts about happy ch couples, it makes me take a serious look at my own situation... stuck in dating hell. It sucks! I'm more like a relationship kinda girl. But the truth is that I haven't had a long-term relationship since I got ch. Partly, because I didn't want to in the beginning (ch was enough to deal with) and then I've realised that ch is too hard to deal with to some kind, sweet men I've met. One guy refered me as "non-dateable" because of it. I was like excuse me?! as he never even saw me having attack! But apparently the idea was enough... But I keep my thumbs up that there's one fellow who doesn't mind. After all that "in sickness and in health" - part excists in the vows for a reason! I just got to keep on looking. One thing is sure, though. I won't be going on blind dates arranged by a one pal of mine. After all, she wants me to meet a guy whose only talent worth mentioning is that he can whistle... Don't know about you, but I need to know more about a guy than that... Your single ch sister, Sandie

Right there with ya Sandie. I have been single again going into my 3rd year (ugh! Fucking kill me!) I guess it's not too romantic when you have to get up from a cuddle with a cuss-fit to go to the bathroom and pound the tile. Then again, being a 'freek musician' most think I am a very *friendly* person anyway - quite the opposite. Also, I've been 'in a mood' and decided to quit shaving after DavCon, and had a Grizzly Adams beard that scared everyone. I looked like a homeless guy, lol. I shed the beard this past weekend and lost 15 lbs in the face. Now back to the bald, goatee'd Anton La Vey look that should scare everyone away for another 3 years. What is funny though is, I am the nicest guy you could meet - I just look scary. At least no one tries to mug me late at night in my neighborhood. Infinitely single, Carl D

Well Sandie at least you dont have this problem Doctor Dave slept with one of his patients and felt guilty all day long. No matter how much he tried to forget about it, he couldn't. The guilt and sense of betrayal was overwhelming. But every once in a while he'd hear an internal, reassuring voice that said: "Dave, don't worry about it. You aren't the first doctor to sleep with one of their patients and you won't be the last. And you're single. Let it go..." But invariably the other voice would bring him back to reality: "Dave, you're a vet..."

| Well said Helen! I second that! I am one of a few ppl that say they found their soulmate when they finally stopped looking. I had the 'tude of giving up on relationships for a long while, waste of heartache and time yadda yadda. Then I went into a convience store and Sam asked for my phone number. lol weird but true

Soon after I found my way to this site a year ago, the man I was seeing and very much in love with decided that he wasn't able to take the "in sickness* part. He had never seen an attack, but the beast had not morphed yet. He did come for a visit once after the morph while I was taking neurontin, pred, and indo, which the hits had stopped from the pred, but the indo/neurontin combo with it had a secondary HA thing going on, and I was so weak and dizzy and I could barely stand up straight. I looked a wreck and it was the last time I saw him before he bailed a week later with the...*you just aren't yourself anymore* bit. Have faith that the right person will enter your life. It takes time...and he'll come in the most unlikely fashion. Redd

The question is when you do meet someone you think you want to pursue a relationship with, how do you approach the topic of CH? What do you say? Give him info from here? Lead him here? How do you even initiate the conversation of CH? “There’s something you should know about me”…? Langa
