Hi, I live in Tigard about 7 miles from downtown Portland. Is someone coming to visit us? Ruth

Well I won't know anything for sure until after tomorrow, but right now it looks like I'll be there at the OHSU for the treatment and removal of a pituitary tumor. We're still trying to coordinate things with my local neuro and then will have to get the referral, but my understanding is that even though it's brain surgery, it isn't debilitating and I might be there a week prior for various testing. If all that works out to be true, they recommend using the time not in hospital to sight see. Soooooooo I need someone to tell me about the good sites, and maybe even meet up for coffee or lunch Cat

My best childhood friend lives in Tigard, Oregon. I haven't visited him since he lived in Oakland, California. I wish he still did. Much more fun climbing hills in San Franciso than wandering around bookstores in Portland. It would be fun though. Svenn: Oregon is close to 3,000 miles/4,800 kilometers or so. Not much is between New York State and Oregon but Republicans. Charlie

Actually, it would be fun. I've always wanted to take a train one way. It might be nice vacation. I've never been there and know almost nothing of the area. My crazy friend never talks about it. He's one of those people that always hates wherever he is. It's his way to avoid dealing with people. Kinda sad. Charlie
