Beautiful pictures - all of them. You must have a wonderful garden Vig. I grow the purple clematis through an apricot coloured David Austin rose "Abraham Darby" and the combination is quite beautiful. The top picture is aquilegia or columbine; easily grown, very attractive plants which come in many colour combinations. They also have attractive foliage. Check it out here: http://www.botany.com/aquilegia.html Wishing it were spring here..........

Beautiful Paul. The first one is a columbine. Mine are just starting to bud, despite the 2 inches of snow we had this weekend. I love clematis, too. I have about 4 different varieties now. Hard to grow though - need hot leaves and cool roots. Kris
