Just thought I would share a funny story.  The other night we had a thunderstorm and then after the storm Ft. Riley soldiers are practicing in the field.  The after shock is heared and felt at times here 20 miles away.   I woke to the two cats on our bed which is unusual.  One begging for protection from mom and the other not leaving the foot of the bed.  It was so cute. My black cat is a stone-cold predator, scares dogs off of our land, and catches, kills, and eats mice, rabbits, birds, squirrels, and anything else he can get ahold of, but let one peal of thunder ring out, and he's transformed into a trembling, slinking wreck. LOL

My cats are all afraid of thunder also.....cept for the old guy.....not sure he can hear em. I can tell it is goin to storm way before I hear it or about it.....my jack russle outside is running stareing at the house till his chain yanks him spinning like a balarena and he whines and pants and shakes tryin the run and yank over and over routine. The house cats slink around and have a hideing place behind the couch I have setup that was an old shelf. Has a fuzzy blanket and is two shelves for them. I feel like doin that when I see SNOW.....oh by the way......6 inches expected here Sat eve. No mo sno Pam
