It's that time of the year... The sports news start to talk about Finland winning the ice hockey world championship. We won our first and only one back in 1995. But let's see what happends this year! I've supported one team since 1988, but I never get so excited about their games than I get when our national team, The Lions (Leijonat as we call them) are playing! You don't want to be around me then...

We have to go overseas for hockey here so I can root for your team I guess. Poor Randy. Charlie

Thanks Sandie, for reminding me to stock up on some videos. Half the channels will show those guys dressed up like Michelin men, bolting around on ice. Occasionally you'll see a little black dot, that is apparently the reason for this senseless chase. Whenever it looks like some real action is starting, like a nice fist fight, those striped guys step in and send the actors to the cooler, spoil sports.

Actually Ueli, all you need to do to see the important stuff is to watch the sports news. They so all the goals and you don't need to sit through the fisticuffs. Charlie

| Marty, never mind Sweden... We always lose to Canada or Checks... But 1995 was dream final: Finland vs. Sweden - in Sweden and we won!

I think that this is how it will turn out: 1. Sweden 2. Norway. Svenn is playing center forward 3. Canada 4. Finland (Suomi) 5. USA. Jonny will spend to much time in the penalty box 6. Russia 7. Tjeckoslovakia (if it is still called that ) 8. Germany 9. Hawaii 10. Egypt. I understand that Charlie has a contract with them and will be their golie I pledge $5.00 to OUCH for each team that does not finish as I have listed them. I could loose $50.00 here.. No, only $45.00 since Sweden is a given #1 with Forsberg playing. Marty
