A pair of sandhill cranes have been out froggin' near my house every morning for the last week. Here's the big fellow. This one stands almost 48"high!

Thanks Patti! I love the cranes. We live on the migration route so I watch them come and go twice a year. There's an alfalfa field at the end of my street and we see them there every winter morning. I once saw thousands of Canada geese feeding in that field and stopped the car to get a look. As I inched closer they ALL took off in unison. It was a breathtaking sight! Looked like a living tornado.
