After reading and re-reading the Ouch thread, felt compelled to say something. A house divided will not stand, and face it - like it or not we're all in the same boat. OUCH has gone through alot of changes since its inception, and alot of people have worked and resigned. You could say some served their term. Along the way, alot of feelings have been hurt. Now there are lots of questions about what OUCH has done for its members. It has been fledgling for months now. Regardless, OUCH has a new president and I say we give Dan a chance to try and turn things around. just my Carl D

I was discussing my own personal issues with OUCH last night with a fellow member, and I had to end our conversation because I got hit. It made me think -- this is what it is all about. We are here for each other through thick and thin because we remember how terrible it was to try to battle the beast alone. I think in relation to all working together, I do better just sticking around here on ch.com and supporting as well as leaning on others instead of trying to get my own headache advocacy crap done through OUCH. Maybe I sounded harsh, but I needed to get those feelings out. I now feel much better, and I will just continue on with the work I've been doing for some time now...but just through school and the hospital on my own. It's no offense to anyone on OUCH BOD...I just feel better now that I said the things I needed to say and then continue to do my work on my own. The things I've done for and with Jefferson, the things I've worked with others on, and my honors project to improve migraine and headache education have really been very personal projects for me, and through this "arguing"...I kept thinking about how bothered I was by how things were turning out with my role as the designated liason between OUCH and Jefferson. I was the designated liason, but I learned all kinds of things just as second hand information...which was really frustrating for someone who has put a lot of time and energy into the bond between OUCH and Jefferson. So...no hard feelings here. I'm glad that there is that connection between Jefferson and OUCH, but I think taking myself out of any matters is best for my sanity! PFDAN, Lizzie2/Carrie

Very well said, Carl! I have decided that I will not second guess anyone volunteering to do a job that I don't want to do. Dan and other BoD members have always answered ANY questions I've asked them on the OUCH boards or through PMs. Thank you all.
