It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.

I hope and pray daily that I never have to take care of babies that look like that in the NICU!! haha
However, several months ago, I did take care of a baby that had a uterus and a penis, but no ovaries or testes (at least I think that's how it went...)
I think what they say is that once there is a uterus, it's a girl. So...they were feeding her tons of hormones so that she really WOULD be a girl.
I can just see it now showing up on Jerry Springer about 15 years down the line with her saying, "I'm supposed to be a boy, Damnit!! They ruined my life!"
