The Dance
I lay here in this bed awake
Just looking at the clock
I know my date will be here soon
And together we will rock
The midnight hour has come and gone
One thirty rolls around
I feel him entering the room
I lie without a sound
I hope if I ignore him
He may just pass me by
But just as every night before
I'm yanked up by my eye
I fight against his massive grip
Don't want to go along
I'm too weak to fend him off
The bastard's just too strong
He takes my head with burning hand
And leads me to the floor
The painful dance begins again
I beg the Beast, "No more!"
We walk and rock, I cry in pain
No pleasure is this game
An hour passes maybe more
He leaves quickly as he came
I fall in bed with broken soul
A sobbing, helpless child
As he fades away I hear him call
I'll be back in a while
