Has anyone ever gone from chronic to episodic?

I am in need of a bit of information for my observation section in my report. In all my time on the MB I have seen people develop it, episodic, chronic, , episodic-->chronic, but I don't think I have seen chronic--->episodic or chronic--->remission(although I have heard of this too, but I think it was a medical report, not the MB). All the info you can help with at this point with regard to the last two conditions will be helpful, I am trying to develop a few hypotheses about what is happenning and all the data I can get will be helpful.
I am looking for Chronics----> episodic or chronic--->remission, or even episodic--->remission.
I'll be bugging you all a lot for info since the veterans esp. (you kow who you are Wink )have seen many come and go, thusly having more insight in this regard than the average MBer.

More info in my other string, "Doing my own study without Harvard"

I have much reading to do, thanks for your help! Wishes for PFDAN!

I once had a 5 year chronic stage...in between episodics.
I'd have to dig out old records but it was something like....13 years episodic, 5 years chronic, and then 2 years episodic. Since then, its been 4 years of psilo-sodic  Wink

I think Kip went from episodic to chronic to episodic again.

I've gone into remission for a couple of years then right back to chronic. The weird thing is I'm at a managable place (remission to me) but get episodic bursts (for want of a better word) during the sping and fall (pollen? sinus? barometer?). So I guess if you can have episodic cycles within a chronic cycle - that's what I got.

Good luck on your research.

I started episodic...
went fulltime... (not by CHoice, the pay wasn't any better.)
a little 'quality' medicine and I'm back to fighting off episodes.

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.

I was chronic for 6 years with no break in there at all.  Then 3/94 I went pain free for aprox. 9 months and then they started back up again.  My dr put me back on meds and I have been to chicken to go off them to see if I am pain free again.
