I decided to bring this over from the end of a different string because I know we all want our computers running at peak performance And guess what its a free download in the top 100. When I find something that could help I just spew it out there, so here it is. SECRETMAKER Quote from their web site: "Privacy Protector Exchanges traceable information The Privacy Protector is masking yours and your computers specific information every time they are requested. Privacy Protector uses unique and state-of-the-art solution only available from All-in-One SECRETMAKER. Many tried to overcome our technique – nobody could! When using secretmaker’s Privacy Protector none of your vital and sensitive information is released in the original state. All-in-One SECRETMAKER’s Privacy Protector protects you from being profiled by suppressing the common denominator and is sending phantomized dummy data’s instead. This makes it impossible to merge the collected data to a specific profile. Furthermore the Privacy Protector gives a gazer the impression that there is a network with many computers behind it. In fact for the profile company’s, hackers and anybody else, it looks as every view second as a new user with a different computer who starts to surf and that’s why they collect only rubbish. With this technology there is no need to hide your IP address through Proxy Servers or Anonymous Services". Don't know if this is compatible or necessary for Linux, but I think all Windows users would greatly benefit. It also has Windows washers which erase all temp files when you log off of the internet and it is not necessary to reboot. Many other freebies to help in this exceptional FREE download www.secretmaker.com I test stuff like this but don't take my word for it. Read the review at cnet or download.com. Happy surfing, Joe P.S. Let me know if you would like to use a FREE antivirus software that found things Norton(Symantec) & McAfee couldn't (and it's been around since 198. Meds & doctors are expensive enough so FREE is good, especially if it works.

I saw that Privoxy has a port for Microsoft Windows, who would have thought. This is not for beginners. Opus/Paul

Hi Opus. Your privoxy link didn't open for me ...just a blank page...hmmmm (must be very private). Lots of beginners using All-In-One-Secretmaker it's very easy and accessible. I must admit a bit of the general knowledge of the alphabet is helpful. I am not advocating any operating system. Obviously you are biased towards the Linux, which I have no problem with at all. I actually had an opportunity to get hired at Microsoft when they had about 30 employees, but was busy making better money, (at that time) major mistake testing non-atmospheric rocket engines and other "secrety" stuff at Rocket Research in Redmond, WA. at the ripe old age of 22. Fear Penguins? Take care. Joe If you love it, blow it up and then set it free. (old Rocket Research adage).

Hiya jokrs! Ok, I'll try it, I just got up and my NAV corporate9 found a worm.corelib virus called msexcs.dll...hmmmm...I haven't DL'ed anything...had to go into command prompt to get rid of it , that DOS prompt is so old school...glad I have a basic(very basic) knowledge of DOS. I'm mostly hardware and wind ws software guy. so I looked at SECRETMAKER...read the EULA which describes it as free and unlimited usage...niiiccceeee...I like free stuff!! But alas, it wants a reboot and I got some juicy stuff leeching in so I gotta wait before I can try it Quote:Posted by: jokrs2 Posted on: Today at 3:52am Hi Opus. Your privoxy link didn't open for me ...just a blank page |
| Use this URL then www.privoxy.org I don't really much care for MS instabilty programs, but man...you can't beat the range of software out there on any OS, I like that flexibility...it's just the internet that fu**s with my computer...and its usually some lil fuc**ng Geek at the other end causing all the problems. 'sall good tho, nothing anyone could do to this computer that I could fix in a few hours (other than me and my 14 lb sledge that is...lol) mikey-de in cycle and PF (put mushroomhead smiley here)

Not sure why my link doesn't work for others, hmmmmm To see what can be seen by a web site go here. http://network-tools.com/analyze/ It is also good for testing your privacy software. Avast seems pretty good, and so does AVG. I wish there was an open source AV but then again, what would be the point Opus/Paul
