I always love how researchers describe CHers as having a Lionine appearance.........Do you ever look in the mirror and think so too?

E2...that's a funny question in lieu of something I received in the mail recently!
Jefferson recently put out their first newsletter, and it is all on cluster headaches. I won't get into the specifics, but on the whole I thought the newsletter was pretty decent, and I like that they're really starting to focus a lot more on CH. However, I didn't like the segment of the newsletter on interesting facts about CH or something to that effect. I don't have the newsletter sitting right in front of me, so I can't quote it directly.
Anyhow one of the things they mentioned was that cluster sufferers have a very leonine appearance. I brought the newsletter in to my neuro appt because I actually got the newsletter in the mail right before the appt. I wanted to know why they put in some perpetuating myths! He said that the leonine appearance is simply to describe the smoker look. I dunno...not all smokers look the same IMHO!! I come from a family of them, but I don't personally smoke.
He said the only statement from that collection of "interesting facts" that couldn't hold up in a court was the statement that cluster sufferers have hazel eyes. I told him that oddly enough, when we were at the convention, we realized that a very large number of us have blue or hazel intense eyes...and even those with brown eyes still had very intensely colored eyes! The hazel eyes comment was one of the few I would have kept in the list of characteristics, give or take a little modification of the way it was stated!
So anyhow...I definitely don't have a leonine appearance in my opinion! This dude from West Philly who was a patient at the health district the other day actually pulled me aside and said to me, "You should be on tv. You have such a babydoll face." It made me laugh...I think that's because me and my fellow student were the only two young, caucasian girls at the district...and probably in the entire section of the city where we were at! hehe
