So f******** pissed I'm shaking

Been waiting for a call from the Neuro for OVER A MONTH. I have called the doctor's office at least 3 times in the past couple of weeks. Each time I have been told by the nurse who returns my call, or the receptionist that I must just wait. In addition, on the two visits to the doctor, he has told me the same thing.
Waited all day for the nurse to return my call today. All day. She just calls back...actually has the receptionist call back to give me a message...and I ask to speak with the nurse. She gets on all frustrated and sarcastic..."No, you have to call the Neuro to set up the appointment." I say, "Well, that would have been good to know 5 weeks ago." "Well that's not my fault. Don't get mad at me."
I say: "Why is it that everyone I speak with in your office either gives me incorrect information, or has a smart a$$ attitude?"
"EXCUSE ME!"
"Yeah, I deal with extreme pain on a daily basis, and I thought your office was in the business of providing health care."
"I have daily headaches sir, I know what you are going through..."
I think you can fill in the rest. I won't be going back to that office. And for anyone at the University of Toronto - don't go to the University Health Centre. They SUCK.

I feel kind of guilty now. I mean, it wasn't her fault personally. However, she was a total sarcastic smarta$$. But, I swear, I try to be a nice person to everybody I come into contact with. I try to treat every person I speak with with respect. Regardless of whether they are respectful or not, I try real hard to treat others right.
And, she probably has had a hard day. Health care is a hard business. However, if she can't treat patients with respect, and be at least understanding of situations, then maybe she should have chosen a profession where she wouldn't have to deal with people.
I don't know. Carrie will probably be along soon and be appalled at how I treat nurses. Sorry Carrie.

The really sa part is that some docs in canada tried to open a private health care center/hospital and the legislature ther said " Every citizen in Canada is equally guaranteed the same poor healthcare. Private hospitals cannot be allowed." Government healthcare at its best. I feel for you good luck. I really mean it.

Hey dude, does the Health Center have an e-mail address? Maybe we can give them a crash course on clusters. I'm not saying we e-mail and give them hell but send them a love note saying:
I understand that a certain student has been trying to see the neuro/dr. He hasn't been given immediate attention because he only has "daily headaches". I'm writing to help you understand that he has much more than "headaches". He suffers from a neuro-vascular disorder inappropriately named cluster headaches. These "headaches" are actually neuro-vascular attacks which result in the most extreme pain that humans experience (so say some neurologists). He has these attacks numerous times each day.
It is absoultely unforgivable to delay treatment of this condition. As Dr. Goadsby, the leading researcher of cluster headaches says "We feel that, given the devastating morbidity associated with this excruciating pain syndrome, it is unethical to withhold treatment ...."
Please administer to this patient immediately.

Paul, that is pretty good work. That site may be part of the school of health or something. It is most likely connected to the Health Centre, and could be contacted as well.

beat them on thier heads with my e tank and yes
i cussed them out to hell and back. then called back
a month later just to bitch a little more. if i think about

Is it jus me or is gettin past the nurses and receptionists HALF the battle. It's not THERE practice and THERE office. Brad's been REALLY friggin sick the past two weeks and fineally got him to go to the docs. Well the nurse told me EVERYONE is in there for the SAME dam thing so they'd jus call in some antibiotics and stuff and he was to start on it RITE AWAY !!! They wouldn't give him an apt and jus said if he wasn't better to call em Friday ? OK....so I got to the pharmacy at Walmart and wait in line for a half hour and NO script for Brad and it was after hours by then ! Waited nuther half hour for them to PAGE him and HOPE he called em back.....this was 4 hours after the script was to be called in tho. He DID call back (he's a good doctor) and they said they'd RUSH my order thru. I stood there nuther half hour. Sorry Casey.....I know yer pain is worse then this upper respitory stuff Brad has.....HOPE you can get yer apt SOON and get some relief. Feverish Pam with a migraine (yup....I said the M word and had it for TWO days now) Who cares.............
